YouthFest

Now in its seventh year, “YouthFest” is a three-day race camp that draws more than 140 youth ages 6 to 18 from Boston and Eastern Region (FL, DC, MD, VA, PA, NJ, NY, CT, RI, OH & MA). The goal of YouthFest is to identify top talent, develop novice skiers and snowboarders, and to provide quality race training by certified Ski Area coaches, NBS Eastern Region, BSP, YES and guest race coaches from the USSA ski teams.

Youth Race Development Program

Youth, ages 5-18 attend training session from Dec-Mar which provides small group instruction to skiers and snowboarders of all levels (Learn to Ski, Novice, Intermediate, Advance, Elite). On average, the program consists of about 4 hours of instruction per week; 2 hours of structure instruction with certified Ski Area instructors and 2 hours of recreational instruction with volunteer coaches.

Youth also participate in off-mountain activities, such as camping, hiking, swimming, zip lining, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and community service.

In 2015, eight BSP youth participated at the NASTAR Championships held in Aspen, Colorado and returned with medals.

Learn to Ski & Snowboard

Learn to Ski and Snowboard Program (LTSS) teaches youth ages 5-18 with little to no ski and snowboard experience the technique of skiing and snowboarding. As participants become more confident and acquainted with the technique, they are transferred into the beginners program. The average time spent in the LTSS is six hours (two hours per week for three weeks).

Donations

Boston Ski Party is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. Support from individual and corporate is critical to the success of the Youth Programs. The organization is actively securing donations and is looking to raising funds through grants and sponsorship to support training and to reduce program costs.
